VirtualZones privacy: every network request listed

VirtualZones has no ads and no account. It sends an anonymous daily usage ping that you can turn off (Preferences → Send usage statistics). This page lists every network request the app makes, so you can verify that for yourself or allow it through a firewall.

All requests use HTTPS (port 443) through Windows’ built-in WinHTTP, and they follow your system proxy settings.

Every launch virtualzones.cc/languages.json A standard HTTPS request only Get the list of available UI languages

To block all of this, block VirtualZones.exe in your firewall. Everything except language downloads, updates and license activation keeps working. A license stays valid offline for up to 30 days since it was last checked.

  • Your settings, layouts and hotkeys (settings.json).
  • Your license record, encrypted with Windows DPAPI (license.dat).
  • Your usage counter (the “Used N times” line in About), in usage.dat. It is never sent anywhere, not even with the usage ping.
  • The diagnostic log in %TEMP%. It never contains your license key, and it’s only shared if you attach it to a bug report yourself.
