The plain-language terms for using VirtualZones and buying a license.

By downloading, installing, or using VirtualZones ("the app"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
License to use
VirtualZones is proprietary software offered under two plans: a monthly subscription via the Microsoft Store and a one-time lifetime license via Lemon Squeezy. A license grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to install and use the app on devices you own or control. The app's source-available components are covered by their respective open-source licenses; the paid license covers the distributed application and its confinement features.
Free trial
The app is free to use for 7 days from first launch, with all features enabled. After the trial, the confinement and snap features require a valid license; settings and window position continue to work without one. The trial is offered once per device.
Payment, billing, and refunds
- The monthly plan ($1.99/month) is billed and managed by the Microsoft Store under Microsoft's terms; cancel any time through the Store.
- The lifetime license ($29.99, one-time) is sold through Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record and handles payment and tax. Refund requests for the lifetime license are handled per Lemon Squeezy's policy.
License validation
A lifetime license activates your device and re-validates periodically online, with an offline grace period, as described in the privacy policy. Licenses that are refunded, charged back, or deactivated may be revoked on the next re-check.
Acceptable use
You agree not to reverse-engineer for the purpose of circumventing licensing, redistribute the paid binary, or resell licenses without authorization. Ordinary personal and business use of the app's features is fully permitted.
Disclaimer of warranty
The app is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. VirtualZones interacts with other applications' windows and, in some cases (e.g. Chromium F11, exclusive-fullscreen games), cannot confine them; these limitations are documented and are not defects.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, VirtualZones and its author are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the app. Total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for your license in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated; material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
